Volume I: 107 pages, plus 7 colored maps at rear; volume II: 74 pages, illustrated by 277 figures; volume III: 100 pages, illustrated by 150 colored figures. A comprehensive review of the development of shipping from antiquity to the end of the nineteenth century. Volume one is a historical analysis, volume II profusely illustrated with historical images of ships, and volume III containing chromolithographic images of ships. The softcover volume I with previous owner's blindstamp and showing wear, soiling and chipping to wraps, volumes II and III in very good condition with only moderate wear Size: Oblong Quarto.
