Included in the exhibition were works by Breuer, Eames, Ellis, Elmslie, Franzen Furness, Gehry, Graves, the Greene brothers, Kiesler, Meier, Mies van der Rohe, Nelson, Neurta, Richardson, Saarinen, Schindler and Wright. In her introductory essay, Lisa Phillips notes that all of the major innovations on modern furniture design have been the work of architects.
