Finely bound in dark brown morocco leather with gilded raised bands gitl titles, marbled boards , edges & endpapers, seven coloured folding maps & four woodcuts, some underling in pencil and a tiny amount of foxing as is often found. Stanley traveled to Egypt & the middle east the previous year, he became Dean of Westminster abbey. This copy is from the private library of The macdermot Prince of Connaught, Coolavin house Co Sligo. Rare.. First Edition. Hard Back 1/2 Leather. Almost Fine. Illus. by illustrated. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
