There are faint smudges throughout, but none obscuring text ; When the notorious "Birdman of Alcatraz" is transferred to Sing Sing prison, the warden sends a seasoned inmate to instruct him in the ways of prison life. The man is Sing Sing's most feared prisoner, "The Beast," and he is not happy to have to teach a newcomer. But as the weeks pass, the Beast and the Birdman begin to understand each other. The Beast teaches the Birdman how to survive in prison, while the Birdman teaches the Beast how to be human.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 306 pages .
