Illustrated with frontispiece, five plates and many in-text images. Collated complete. A humorous and charming narrative verse following our hero through three exciting "fyttes." Written by Rattlebrain, the pen name of George Halse, an English novelist, poet, and sculptor. Illustrated by Phiz, the pen name of Hablot Knight Browne, an English caricaturist and book illustrator. In the original full brown cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the board. Minor fraying to the head and tail of the spine. Rear joint starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Good
