Glasgow: John Menzies & Co, 1893. A New Edition. Hardcover. Good. 8vo. Blue-green cloth with blindstamped borders to boards and gilt titles on spine. 178pp with adverts on the endpapers. Portrait frontispiece tissue guarded and twenty illustrations throughout the text. Humorous chapters on aspects of what was then the second city of the British Empire. Some of these ‘light yet informative sketches’ cover pretty much the same today as they did then, the weather being one, also history, architecture etc. Generally clean, slight rubbing to the corners.
