Luton: SKF (UK) Limited, 1111. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Not dated. Edition not known. In very good turquoise card, white titles, with tool motifs on front. The covers are clean, straight and tight, with a few small creases. Clean, white end papers and cut edges. The text block is tightly bound and unmarked - very good. With b/w photos and figures. No inscriptions etc. Scarce.

Canada: Imperial Oil Limited / S.K.F. Canadian Company Limited, 1940. Loose Prints. Near Fine. Two c. 1940's photo reproductions of Churchill & the Royals c. 1940's. The Imperial Oil images are in color and printed onto heavy card with their copyright in both English and French. Image w. the Royals & Churchill standing together also has a tipped-on Christmas greeting from Imperial mounted at bottom edge verso and is printed on decorative speckled paper. We do not know the significance of the red abbreviated moniker "DILL'S S.S.S." or what it stands for. Larger image measures 10-3/4 inches tall x 8-1/2 inches wide ; smaller image is 10 inches tall x 7-1/4 inches wide. Both are toned verso, else fine. The "Man of Destiny" image is an unusual promotional piece by the Canadian branch of an international industrial company and utilizing possibly, an image of Churchill in his office in 1945 while quoting in part some of his famous 1940 speech "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat."… Read More
