First Edition, First Printing (with "Set up and printed - Published April, 1934" on copyright page, 1934 on title page), inscribed and SIGNED by author, in original unclipped jacket. Beige cloth boards with red decoration and lettering on cover and spine; no bumping or wear; just a hint of browning to upper spine and front spine gutter. Binding is tight & square, no cracking; pages and edges are clean, with clean black top stained page edges, some browning to endpapers. Inscribed by author on title page: "Best of wishes to my good friends, The Taylors! - Ross Calvin". 354 pp. with index. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Dustjacket is not price clipped (2.50 on front inside flap), has 1" square piece missing at base of spine, chipping along top front edge to maximum depth of 1/2", very shallow chipping at top spine edge, red and gold sticker from Coronado Cuarto Centennial 1540-1940 on front jacket edge, clear tape reinforcement to spine area. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..
