The "Bible Belt" is generally accepted as covering a sweeping, wide arc of the southeastern United States, extending from West (By Damn) Virginia to the piney woods of East (By God) Texas. It was in this teritory that small steam powered lines lasted so long and so well. This volume concentrated on the deepest of the Deep South's Bible Belt. It covers the small steam powered lines of Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Lousiana, Arkansas and Eastern Texas. 225 pages with numerous photographs and index. Tiny ding at the bottom of the front cover, else fine in fine and bright dust jacket with just a hint of rubbing.
