About the author

Alan A. Siegel was born and raised in Irvington, New Jersey. He has occupied the positions of Councilman-at-Large, Township Attorney, president of Clinton Cemetery, member of the New Jersey Historical Society, and president of the Irvington Historical Society. A graduate of Rutgers College and Rutgers Law School, his previous books include Out of Our Past, a history of Irvington, and For the Glory of the Union.
