Original dust jacket in near fine condition, with slight edge wear and flap and verso toning to the DJ. Joan D. Vinge was a trained anthropologist and a noted Hugo award winning sci-fi author, one of few women in the field during the time when this was written. A sci-fi take on a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen of the same name. Book ships in a new Brodart cover.
