Second Printing, published a month after the first edition. 10 photographic plates, including frontispiece, and a map. The autobiography of Robert's Perry's daughter, born in Greenland during one of Perry's Arctic expeditions, with an account of the conquest of the North Pole and a description of Eskimo life. VG+ a bright copy, clean copy, in Near VG dust jacket, a little chipped along top of jacket, with $2.00 on front jacket flap. Photographs provided on request.

New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1934. Very Good condition in a bright, Near Very Good (small edge chips) Dust Jacket. Now protected by a removable Brodart sleeve. Sharp corners. Square, tight, and unmarked. Not a book club edition. No remainder mark. No owner's name or bookplate. First Edition, with MCMXXXIV on the title page, and no mention of additional printings on the copyright page. Illustrated with 10 plates from photographs, including a tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Robert E. Peary and his daughter. There is a map by James Lindsay McCreery, which also appears, in color, as the front panel of the Jacket. Glossary. The author's father was the future Admiral, Robert Edwin Peary, who later became famous for discovering the North Pole. Her mother, Josephine Diebitsch Peary, was the first woman to take part in Arctic exploration when she accompanied her husband on his second expedition to Greenland in 1891-1892.
