Herbert Jenkins. 1917. 1st, signed, limited.. 5.5 x 7.5 inches. In green speckled cloth covers with gilt to spine and front. Gilt top edge. In very good condition. Spine slightly darkened and bumped at ends. Neat inscription to front endpaper. Slight browning to endpapers and edges. Some marks to a couple of early pages. Else a clean and tight copy. 120 pp. Collection of war poetry from the point of view of the ordinary soldier in the Great War. The author served with the London Irish Rifles (1/18th Battalion, The London Regiment) and was wounded at the Battle of Loos on 28 October 1915. ‘This edition on hand-made paper is limited to 280 copies (260 for sale), of which this is number 214.’ Signed by the author.
