Paris et Neuchatel: Editions Victor Attianger, 1943. Soft cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall. 286 pp. This copy belonged to Comtesse Philippa von Courten (1926-1946). She died in a skiing accident in Valais in the Swiss alps. The front free blank is signed by Philippa with a poem and has a personal, pencil note by her mother. Philippa had lent her copy to the sister of the author, Charles Gos. It was returned to her mother by Emile Gos ( Charles' brother) with a note on his photography business card about the return. .Also included is a copy of En Confidence a 4 pp. revue with an article on Charles Gos. This an Alpinist's treasure. Front cover detached, chipped. spine edges rubbed. Interior clean, untrimmed.
