Day &ââ¬â¹ Son, London 1860.. 1860. Hardcover. Folio. orig. gilt dec. cloth hardcover, all edges gilt. 106 pages, colour title page + 14 color plates, 38 cm. Good, rebound in original covers with new endpapers & pastedowns, spine nicely repaired with matching cloth retaining gilt titles. Some foxing, first and last plate quite foxed, some light foxing to a few of the other p[lates, some wear to cover edges. Meredith moved to Tasmania in 1840. Compiled and illustrated several books on colonial life and society, and native flora and fauna. Also published many illustrated books of poetry. .
