Wells, Gardner, Darton & Co. Ltd., 1904. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1904. No Edition Remarks. 148 pages. No dust jacket. Blue pictorial boards with gilt lettering. Contains black and white illustrations throughout. Pages are heavily tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Moderate cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding is slightly loose. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper, with a prize plate to paste-down. A few small nicks along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with minor bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a mild backward lean. Water drops on front and rear board.
