Fine (tiny bookseller's sticker on back fep) in original fragile glassine cover (glassine cover has 1 inch piece missing from spine foot and is generally fragile at spine) and in very good slip case (some light browning at edges, tiny ink circle). Beautiful book, beautifully printed. Eve? Yes, THAT Eve. Ever wondered why the forbidden tree was the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil? MacLeish: "Wakening is forbidden / To all in space and time / Star and stone, bird and beast. / Wakers see what sleep has hidden. / Wakers will no longer rest / In space and time as they were bidden."
