When I was growing up in the late sixties in Columbia, there were few regional role models, and no local ones that I knew of, for what I wanted to do with my life. . . Has the idea that creative people of the South must leave - also left? I think it's good to leave, I think it's good to come back; I think it's terrible to feel you must do either. . ."
