Bound in quarter beige cloth with orange paper boards and black lettering on the spine. James C. Humes (31 October 1934 â 21 August 2020) was an author and former presidential speechwriter. Humes, along with William Safire and Pat Buchanan, is credited for authoring the text on the Apollo 11 lunar plaque.[5][6] Humes has written many books sharing his extensive knowledge of the modern history and political landscape. Anecdotes about famous men and women in history, literature, the arts, sciences, and government, designed to add color and interest to speeches and presentations, are arranged under such subject headings as ingenuity, ambition, and discovery 226pp. Beige dustjacket with illustration and orange and black lettering.
