Blue, gilt-embossed cloth with beautiful gilt and sapphire embossed image; clear, acetate cover. xxiii + 204 pages, illustrated with 24 tissue-guarded, tipped-in colour plates and 64 pages of black & white illustrations. The Spodes, Josiah I and II, and stoneware, gransfer printing in Staffordshire, underglaze painting, bone porcelain, felspar porcelain, stone china, color, the Copeland Period, Parian Ware, and marks. Quite comprehensive with vivid color plates. Bookplates from the libraries of Margaret Jewell, major donor to the MFA in Boston, and John Milne Janney,
