Dated Title Page. Basis for five film versions including the 1942 western with the wild John Wayne & Randolph Scott saloon fight. In 1905 at age 28, Beach begun to serialize The Spoilers in Everybody's Magazine, & his life & career really took off after this. Beach became a bestselling fiction writer & producer of movies based on his work. An excellent near fine or better copy. Scarce thus.
