Foxed dust wrapper, with Barbosa illustration, lightly edgeworn with a few closed tears, white rear panel a bit soiled.; <B>This fun Regency novel features Sir Gareth Ludlow, a thirty-five-year-old bachelor and Corinthian, Lady Hester, a twenty-nine-year-old spinster who is determined not to marry a man that does not love her, and Amanda "Smith" a young woman of seventeen with a fertile imagination and a genious for running away. This author was described as "a staple of the comfort reading genre" by Jenny Colgan in an April 2020 article in "The Guardian".</B> .
