Description

New York: Grossett & Dunlap, n.d. (c. 1910). Later printing. Ownership signature dated Jan. 30, 1912. Illustrated. Fine bright copy in gilt-stamped red cloth with the color jacket painting affixed to the front board in a near fine dust jacket with some minor use and edge wear and a few very small chips and tears. Enclosed in the original publisher’s box with the same cover painting of the jacket printed on the lid. The basis of the silent film classic directed by Jerome Storm, starring John Gilbert, Barbara La Marr, Bessie Love, Warner Baxter, Nigel De Brulier, and Lydia Knott. An uncommon find in such incredible condition.
