Presentation copy inscribed by the author on half-title, with his signature below the inscription tipped in on a folded piece of paper. xi + [3] + 274 pp. 8vo., blue cloth with gilt spine lettering and cover stamped in blind. Spine sunned, lightly foxed. Owner's personal bookplate on front pastedown; some light foxing to endpapers. Title and facing page have pale green illustration under text; b/w illustrations in the rest of the text. History and lore of the St. Lawrence River.
