London: Printed at the Chiswick Press By Charles Whittingham and Co. For Messrs. Ellis, 1908. First Edition . Printed Card Wrappers. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Inscribed to Harold Adams from Samuel Looker, New Year 1951. Adams was founder of the Richard Jefferies Society. Looker devoted himself to Jefferies for over half a century, publishing numerous volumes of journalistic material which had never previously been re-printed, and new matter from diaries, notebooks and unfinished manuscripts that he had tracked down. Looker's biography: 'Richard Jefferies: Man of the Fields' was published after the author's death in 1965. Original blue-grey, printed card wrappers with minor wear. 14 pp. A few spots to title page. Inscription to verso of front cover. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. The poem, in its earliest form, was first published in "The Oxford and Cambridge Magazine" in 1856. It had been planned and begun some years earlier, being founded on a story in the "Gesta Romanorum." Rossetti afterwards revised it and added some new stanzas. In its present completed form it first appeared in the volume of his "Poems" published in 1881. This is the first standalone version. A must-have for Rossetti and Jefferies collectors alike.

Henry Frowde, Oxford University Press, London, 1910. Hardcover. Fine/No Dust Jacket. 551pp; Blue leather boards with gilt lettering; Cover is in Fine condition, except that spine is sunned; Pages are yellowed, but are tight and clean; Owner's inscription on front endpaper dated 1912; There are also two "flowers" pressed in the pages in the book that I believe are Hemlock (they look like little Christmas trees). Very interesting, and I will leave them inside. They have caused no harm to the book, although some of the "needles" have come off. These can be easily brushed away if desired, but I love the added character they give to the book; Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 1 - 2 pounds. Straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings in bright, pictorial card covers, no dustjacket as issued. The pieces in this collection, written between 1956 and 1961 and including short fiction, a radio play, and a stunning early novel, offer startling insights into Cohens imagination and creative process. Trumansburg, NY: Out of Step Press. Fine with no dust jacket. 2016. Numbered Edition; First Printing. Pamphlet. The author's non-linear poem about the billeting of soldiers in civilian homes in wartime. Copy 89 of a limited edition of 250. Folded into the form of a letter, the work was letterpress printed in wraps of handmade "combat paper" made from military uniforms. The author says: "Some time ago-maybe a year, maybe two? I had a conversation with some of my Combat Paper brothers (well, the kids call them their combat paper uncles, so it follows
) that led to me writing the poem "Quartering." Which was informed by them, of course, and by all the rooms I'm in, and by imagining what is really required of all the caregivers I love. It's a thought experiment: if we tore down the barracks at military hospitals and offered incentives for Americans in the surrounding neighborhoods to quarter injured service members, what would the honest instructions…
