Illustrated with 12 hand-tipped photographic plates, plus 4 tipped-in original examples of printing using Fell types. Bound in cerise-red cloth with printed label to spine; in an unclipped pale brown dust-jacket. Near Fine save some very light scattered foxing to text-block edges. Near Fine copy in Fine dust-jacket. Comprehensive monograph charting the writing and production of the typographical masterpiece 'John Fell" which was four decades in the making. Drawn from interviews and personal reflections of those involved as well as archival material at the Press and the Stanley Morison Room Papers. Signed by the author to the limitation page. Scarce.
