Los Angeles: Black Sparrow Press, 1969. First Edition. Paperbound format, unpaginated pamphlet. Eight pages. Very fine in printed wrappers, which reads on the front cover: “Statement / antin / economou / eshelman / mac low / owens / rothenberg / schwerner / wakoski. by Robert Kelly” This is the “unpublished edition” which was commisioned by the publisher, John Martin, with the intention of being included as a gift with copies of select upcoming books, but the design of this original cover was rejected by some of the poets, and the whole project was subsequently redeigned and reprinted, with this original edition being largely destroyed in the process.
