First edition. 8vo. 292 pp. Publisher's blue cloth, gilt lettered to the spine, dust jacket, the ownership inscription of an Ianthi Zygounas dated July 1928 to the front free endpaper. Frontispiece and 32 black and white plates, mostly photographic and including many taken by the author. The jacket spine tanned and slightly abraded with a tear without loss neatly repaired with tissue on the verso, some general wear to the edges with small losses, the book in excellent condition. Byron's second book, being an account of his journey to the monasteries of Mount Athos.
