Gift inscription on front free endpaper and previous owner's initials and horseshoe stamp on half-title page. Light soiling to boards and minor bumping to spine ends. Jacket shows moderate chipping and soiling. Henry Bruns, in Angling Books of the Americas, calls this book a "tremendous study of this tremendous fish." [Bruns K92, Thacher p. 305]
