Prior dampness has caused stiff wavy pages, not stuck together. Very readable. Some weakness to lower end stitching. Edge wear all around. Corner bumps.. 1 160 p. Vibrant color and b&w drawings. Illustrated cover w/orange plane against blue sky & water, continued to back cover; orange cloth overlap spine, no spine title. Fiction: Cover plane called "Dauntless" w/ names under window. Preface describes flight as being just as thrilling as in wartime, and an industry that has seen many advancements in plane and engine design. The story is a lively one, and the weather dangers as daunting for long-distance flyers as in any war.

The Non-Stop Stowaway written and illustrated by Clayton Knight-A Gordon Volland Publication, published by The Buzza Company Craft Acres-copyright 1928; this is the 5th printing. The first paragraph of the preface reads 'This is a story for boys who want to know of the thrills and joys of Aviation. It is written by a war flyer who was a pilot with a squadron at the front and who there learned to know hew he and other young men reacted to those dangerous moments when lightning-quick decisions were necessary'. This 160 page hardback book has many color and black and white illustrations, shows edge and corner wear, separation, has several tears and some chunks of paper missing from pages, but as far as I can tell all text is present. Some of the pictures have been traced over using carbon paper, which has left marks on the pages, and there are some ink marks on the front decorated ep.
