[5], vi, [5], 2-257, [3] pp. Red publisher's cloth with gilt lettering and gilt and black decorations on the front board and spine. Illustrated with several in-text and full-page maps, engravings, and photographs, mostly in black and white (one map in color). The date of 1909 is on the title page but 1908 is stated on the copyright page, likely an early reprint of this textbook. A piece of the front board missing, a 1909 name on the free front endpaper.
