Cincinnati: Published by the Author, 1868. 1st ed. xvi, 622 pp. Spine label removed; head of spine chipped; corners bumped, else a good copy in orig. pictorial cloth with bookplate of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States Commandery of the State of Illinois. Dornbusch calls for folding map, lacking in this copy. "An unusually full history of a unit that campaigned from western Virginia through Atlanta; written shortly after the war, it has freshness and authenticity." Nevins I, p. 100.
