New York: D. Appleton, 1928. New Edition, First Thus . Hardcover. Very Good. xviii, 305 pp. Maroon cloth, titles gilt. Includes illustrations and index. In his introduction to the 1918 edition, Edward Page Mitchell, [Sun editor from 1903-1920] praised the way O'Brien kept the paper as the hero of the book, and then brought in writers and stories that illustrated the evolution of the Sun. Bookplate on front pastedown and previous owner's name on ffep. Cloth and gilt on front cover bright and unfaded, but corners bumped and spine a bit faded and frayed at edges.
