New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1926. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. With eight illustrations in colour, sixty-five in half-tone, and a map. First American edition. "A sketch book of Sicily's scenery, native types, buildings, gardens and garden furniture, describing the arts and crafts wrought by the people of almost every nation of the civilized world who, each in turn, have conquered or colonized Sicily." Original dark blue cloth binding, with decorative orange stamping. Small bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. In the British dust jacket, which is a touch faded along the spine, with some occasional minor rubbing and edgewear; otherwise a crisp, very good copy.
