About This Item

London, 1961. Single sheet.. Very Good +. John Bratby.. A study of a sleeping child drawn in pencil on buff paper. Signed and dated June 19th 1961 in lower left corner. There is slight discolouration to the paper from a previous mount, very light soft handling folds else very good. I believe this is a portrait of his third son Jason who was born in 1959. Bratby had four children with Jean Cooke. Sheet size 350 x 550mm
