Hamburg: F.W. Rademacher, 1922. First edition. Hardcover. Rebacked: original cloth laid down on boards, new cloth backstrip. Very good. 112p + 3p errata + 32p index, no ills. Last few bottom corners damp-rubbed but no loss of content. Outer pages lightly foxed. Title page upper corner creased. Cover edges shelf-rubbed. In English and German. No jacket, as issued. Very sturdy; a much better copy than is often found. Dozens of pedigrees of varying length, which include over 10,000 horses (all indexed). To come up with his listings, Becker analyzed the bloodlines of successful runners in Germany, France, Great Britain, Austria, and Hungary.in 1921 and 1922. His tabulations, which are coded with abbreviations and symbols, are complicated to follow, but the book is clearly a monumental accomplishment, all pre-computer of course. Very large (10 x 15 inches); shipping/handling will be extra. Please keep this in mind when ordering.
