About This Item

Garden City, NY: Doubleday, 1947. Author's first book of poetry published in America. British poet and playwright. Very good (bright clean pages; bookplate, on front pastedown, covers part of a small blue star; bumped top corners; faded spine top and bottom and part of top cover edges; spots on top cover edge) in fair dust jacket (faded, rubbed, badly torn along top edge including spine, tears along bottom edge, blue star stamp on flap; now in a Brodart protective cover to prevent further damage). 58 pages. It is worth your time to read the blurbs on the back panel of the jacket (see scans) to see who this poet is listed with in 1947. . 1st American edition. Hard Cover.
