Original embossed green cloth hardcover with gilt lettering on spine and gilt top edges. Some signs of shelf wear to spine and corners, slight lean, front free endpaper foxed, otherwise very good condition. Previous owner's bookplate affixed to front endpaper. G.S. Layard explores in this book illustrations that had been censored for various reasons during the Victorian age.
