Book has a distinctive smoky odour overall. Pages are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Binding is slightly shaky. Pencil inscription to rear pastedown. Plates and maps are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Boards have visible edge wear with corner bumping. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Severe water staining to both boards with visible marks overall. Book is bowed and forward leaning.
