Description

Faber and Faber, London, 1959. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Very Good. Illustrator: C. F. Tunnicliffe. The text is illustrated with black and white drawings by C. F Tunnicliffe. Green coloured cloth covered boards with silver coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by C. F Tunnicliffe, with black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Another recounting of the author's English childhood. . t. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with bumping and rubbing of the book corners. Light age toning of the text block edges and pages with scattered foxing to the end pages. The green coloured cloth has become a little dull. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with a couple of small tears to the edges. The rear panel shows handling marks and stains. . We seem to specialize in non mainstream stuff but read and stock Science-fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, history, biography and true crime, war, natural history. cooking, children's books and try to avoid current text books.We probably have the largest collection of Science Fiction, Penguins and general crime in Victoria in an open shop ( David has 8 bookcases 900mm x 2200mm of sf and f) ( Penny has 8 bookcases 1200mm x 2400 of sf and f )
