232 pp. This sweet book of love poems features over 80 poets and authors, including The Brownings, Burns, Coleridge, Herrick, Longfellow, Rossetti, Shakespeare, Shelley, Tennyson, Wordsworth and many more. The boards are slightly bumped on corners and have minor soiling and scuffs. Gilt designs are very clean and bright on dark green cloth boards. Endpapers are illustrated with a large heart of cherubs. There are 12 full page illustrations by Hall and each poem is set inside an elaborate, filigree heart of twinging vines and flowers. There is a name and date on the FFEP. Hinges are tight. This is a lovely book!
