Octavo. 317pp. Original illustrated dustjacket over beige cloth with black lettering on spine. With facsimile signature opposite to short bio in front. Autobiography of the Syrian born author who grew up in poverty and became one of the most sought after speakers on the American lecture circuit. He was sponsored by Reader's Digest. Laid in an original 6 page Reader's Digest advertisement from September 1940 featuring a condensed text by Salom Rizk, 'The Americanization of an American,' with two quotes from Rizk's audience; "He makes one feel that we should go home, gather our families about us, and offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the blessings we have." DJ with wear along edges, some closed tears and some moderate chipping at top and bottom of back and spine. Binding lightly rubbed. Book block slightly age toned. Dj in overall good-, binding and interior in good+ to very good condition.
