Blofeld was born in London, England, and was educated at Eton College and Oxford University. He became interested in Eastern philosophy and spirituality at a young age, and he began studying Chinese and Japanese language and culture in his twenties. Blofeld lived in China and Japan for many years, and he became fluent in both languages. He translated numerous Chinese and Japanese texts into English, including "The Zen Teaching of Huang Po," "The Secret and Sublime: Taoist Mysteries and Magic," and "The Way of Power: A Practical Guide to the Art of Taoism." In addition to his work as a translator, Blofeld was also a prolific writer and wrote several books on Eastern spirituality, including "The Wheel of Life: The Autobiography of a Western Buddhist," "Buddhism: The Path to Nirvana," and "Taoism: The Quest for Immortality." Blofeld's work as a translator and writer helped to introduce Eastern spirituality and philosophy to a Western audience, and his translations and books remain popular and influential today. He was known for his clear and accessible writing style and his deep understanding of Eastern culture and spirituality. // Bouddhisme tantrique -- Chine -- Région autonome du Tibet. Tantric Buddhism.
