About This Item

Thames and Hudson, 1952. First Edition. Hardcover. Acceptable. Hardcover. First edition. Dust jacket is present and in rough shape. Faded AND toned and very fragile. A Brodart archival dust jacket was placed over dust jacket what looks to be many years ago and has helped to prevent further disintegration of the dust jacket to a certain extent. Large chips/tears all the way around edges and at spine ends of the DJ. Foxing to dust jacket, textblock edges, paste downs and endpapers. Grey cloth covered boards are age-toned around edges, and faded on the bottom edges. Dented and worn corners. Pages are age-toned, free of markings. A gift inscription on FFE, and tucked within pages is a hard written Christmas card for the person who received the book as a gift in 1953. At some point it had been fastened to the first few pages with a paperclip, which left some rust stains and an impression on the first few pages. We are going to leave the little Christmas card/note in the book, for sentimental purposes. Binding remains sound. We will happily send photographs of the book upon request. 157pp.
