Description

Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1941. Vintage reference photograph from the 1941 film. Stamp on the verso misattributes the image to MGM's "Tarzan Finds a Son" (1939), the film prior to this one in the series. Loosely based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' 1914 novel "Tarzan of the Apes." The fifth film in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's six-film Tarzan series. The studio would go on to produce 16 more Tarzan films in the same continuity with RKO Radio Pictures, but with different actors in the titular role. Shot on location in Los Angeles, and in Ocala and Wakulla Springs, Florida. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with creasing and pinholes at the corners.
