Red cloth spine with gilt text is mated with white paper covered boards. Front panel carries author's name in gilt. Spine ends slightly rubbed and small crease at tail of spine that seems to be a production fault. Little ding on bottom edge of rear panel. Text block is as new and appears to be unread. Unclipped, unpriced DJ has edge wear at spine ends. Book is from the collection of Toronto author/poet and often host at Harbourfront literary events, Greg Gatenby. His signature and the date of acquisition of this book are on ffep. Association/Dedication copy: "To Greg With every good wish from the author P. D. James 20 Nov. 1987 Harbourfront." Synopsis
An Adam Dalgliesh MysteryTwo men lie in a welter of blood in the vestry of St Matthew's Church, Paddington, thier throats brutally slashed.
