About This Item
([Johannesburg]: Geological Society of South Africa, 1990). 210 x 147 mm; printed wrappers; pp. (vi) + 49; photographs, diagrams, tables and maps. Very good condition. "This excursion will focus on the Late Proterozoic Gariep Belt, an arcuate north-south trending tectonic unit that straddles the Orange River. The belt strikes out to sea in the Kleinzee area to the south, but is believed to link with the Saldanha Belt (Malmesbury Group) rocks of the southwestern Cape Province beneath the Mesozoic-Cenozoic deposits of the Cape continental shelf." .
