About the author

Carl Reiner (1922-2020) was an 11-time Emmy Award-winning actor, writer, and director, perhaps best known for creating The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1965). Recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, Reiner wrote several books for adults including Enter Laughing, Continue Laughing, and My Anecdotal Life. Reiner also wrote a number of children's books including Tell Me a Scary Story... But Not Too Scary and Tell Me a Silly Story. James Bennett is the illustrator of the New York Times bestselling Halloween by Jerry Seinfeld. A Hamilton King Award-winning artist, he has also illustrated for many major publications including Time, Sports Illustrated, and Mad magazine.
