Fort Wayne, Ind: The Archer Printing Company, 1906. Stiff wraps. Near fine. Oblong 8vo (6" x 9"); 40pp; glazed stiff pictorial wrapper printed in black and red; color half-tone illustration of a house within a decorative border on a pink ground; rear wrapper wood engraving of two company awards received in 1899; 2 staple binding; title page printed in black within a double red border; double red borders enclose all text and illustrations; both b&w photographic illustrations reproduced by half-tone printing, and wood engraved illustrations; light sunning to pink ground of wrapper, minor soiling fore-edge; near fine. Only one located in WorldCat at the Athenaeum of Philadelphia. The Kokomo Fence Machine Co. was founded in 1896 by John E. Frederick, who later went on to serve as the first Chairman of the Board of Continental Steel, Kokomo, Indiana. Interesting look at architectural fencing of the early 20th century. Brochure includes a price list as well as fence details and erection.
