About the author

Susan Campbell Bartoletti is the author of the Newbery Honor book Hitler Youth: Growing Up in Hitler's Shadow, the Robert F. Sibert Medal-winning Black Potatoes: The Story of the Great Irish Famine, and TheyCalled Themselves the KKK. Her work has received dozens of other awards and honors, including the NCTE Orbis Pictus Award for Outstanding Nonfiction.
